I think you'll find that all Freedom product lines are sold by Freedomroads dealers which are networked nationwide with many Campingworld store, but not all.

I didn't consider MPG when I bought my dually, just power and safety. Had a
a tire sliced on the rear by piece of metal doing 65 and didn't know it until a truck pulled along side and got my attention. Looked in my mirror and suree thing the tire was wobbling reallt good. Didn't panic just took the next exit, parked, unhitched and went to a tire shop. Guess that says it all. By the way my rig weighs about 15,500 down the road.

RE: Dometic Recall - NO LONGER REPLACING COOLING UNIT
Dometic has been replacing cooling units only if cooling unit was damaged as a result of the affected problem in the burner chamber. Otherwise the shield kit is installed on the affected units only. Our shop has been doing these for some time, over the last year.

There are a number of suppliers of RV products that carry just about every shape and size wheel well plastic. Any dealer that does extensive RV body work should have an aftermarket source to get you what you need.

RE: Snowbirds - what are we going to do about next year??
Not changing our plans. We'll be going to Mesa AZ as usual for the winter. Might think a little at $8 a gallon but not if the wife decides! If you don't spend it on fuel it'll be something else! I just can't stay still for very long. Gotta keep moving.

I solved your problem with 150 watts of solar and digital controller. I haven't heard my charger come on in months and batteries are 100% all the time, 13.6 volts. Batteries are u2000, 2 ea.

RE: Best Electric Awning
I have a modified electric A&E power awning (converted 8500), manual control only, with Weatherpro hardware. I've traveled all over the US and have seen all kinds of climate etc. One, I would never trust an automatic awning. I at least put mine in 2/3s when gone or all in if needed. I'm all about the convience of pushing a button without dealing with the arms and rod. Mine does dump the rain fine by itself. The A&E 9100 is what I like in a power awning. Automatic is a waste for me.

I've had the same set of Mich XPS Ribs on 2 different 5Ws and about 20,000 miles. No cracks or blowouts and minimal wear.

We plan to keep on trucking! We just did Tampa to Portland via Phoenix. 3200 miles and haven't counted the fuel yet. Didn't hit $4 a gallon for diesel until I got to Phoenix.

There's a great color coded map by price on gasprices.com that shows the US by county and state. Gives you a national look at what's going on.
